Charles Wells' Substance Misuse Policy aims to protect and maintain the health, safety and welfare of employees and others in the workplace by reducing the risk of alcohol and drug-related harm in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. It sets out the requirement to be in a fit condition whilst engaged in Company operations. The use or misuse of alcohol, drugs or solvents is therefore prohibited during working hours or where it might have an adverse effect on employees during these hours. The policy will also provide confidential advice and a provision for external counselling for anyone who thinks they require help with a drug or alcohol problem.
Our support for Drinkaware continues and in 2015 we committed to a further three years of funding.
